Overview

Ms. Yokota’s practice is focused on strategic litigation cases, with near 20 years of experience in administrative and judicial cases related to civil and public/administrative law. Ms. Yokota’s practice also focuses on Administrative Accountability Proceedings against legal entities (PARs) related to anticorruption, procurement and administrative improbity laws.

Ms. Yokota has experience in negotiating complex agreements, including leniency agreements with various authorities. Her practice also involves compliance and anticorruption investigations, and incidents under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD).

Prior to joining Maeda, Ayres & Sarubbi’s team in 2018, Ms. Yokota was a senior associate of an international law firm based in São Paulo.

Ms. Yokota is the author of several legal articles and coauthor of the book “Direito dos Negócios em Debate” (Corporate Law in Debate). For the seventh year in a row, Ms. Yokota has been recognized as a leading litigation practitioner by the Latin American Corporate Counsel Association (LACCA).
