At the end of the last year, the Guide to Integrity Programs: Sustainable Practices for Private Companies (Guia de Programa de Integridade: Práticas Sustentáveis para Empresas Privadas, from the original), developed within the scope of the National Strategy to Combat Corruption and Money Laundering (ENCCLA), coordinated by the Office of the Federal Comptroller General (CGU) and the National Council for Internal Control (Conaci), with the support of other public entities and civil society, was published. The Guide presents 53 guidelines divided into ten essential areas for the implementation of integrity programs. Its main objective is to offer guidelines for preventing and combating corruption and fraud, with an emphasis on projects with environmental impact.
Highlighting topics on the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) agenda, the Guide expands the concept of an integrity program to include the promotion of an organizational culture that values ethics, transparency and respect for fundamental rights based on aspects related to sustainable practices. In this sense, the document becomes an essential tool for private companies interested in strengthening their reputation, credibility and ethical commitment.
